SA Gas can perform a Compliance Survey for commercial and industrial customers covering all aspects of their gas installation.
SA Gas will identify risks, recommend solutions, including likely costs and advise on your next steps in a clear and concise report.
The risks for the customer are:-
Non-compliant installation – the customer is responsible for the Installation downstream of the meter.
Loss of performance – for customers relying on constant gas supply for production / process of their products, a failure can cost them loss of production which could take months to resolve. This can be avoided with regular condition monitoring.
The Survey would detail:-
Installation History – covering the meter (type and owner) plus the outlet pipework installation (who installed, when, last audit).
An Installation overview - including the load requirements for the site, and how this is delivered
- diameter of pipe,
- type of pipe and
- operating pressure,
- any ancillary equipment such as emergency control valves,
- boosters etc,
- photographs of all items mentioned.
Meter and Housing
Installation Pipework – Covering suitability of the installation, including
- adequate supports
- welded joints
- electrical bonding
- test points
- purge points
- isolation valves.
Summary and Conclusions – Provided as a RAG (Red, Amber, Green) matrix identifying the criticality of the faults identified.
Non-Conformances – are photographed and an estimate cost for repair, a priority rating, and estimated down time for the repair.
Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) sites, DESER reports and sites requiring a Written Scheme of Examination (WSoE) can also be provided by SA Gas
